Do you provide email accounts
We believe you should choose a provider that specializes in email which offers the best of breed email and business app technology such as Microsoft 365 or Google Apps.
However, if you are a small business, we have a free email service option for you. Please note that this service has limited features and may not meet all your expectations from other major mail service providers like Microsoft and Google. If you decide to go with a cPanel hosting plan you will also have the option to setup your own email in the cPanel control panel.

The pricing is difficult to understand
The cost of a website can vary depending on the needs, goals and intricacy of the project. Each website is unique and requires a different amount of work and time to create. Therefore, the pricing is not fixed and may change according to the scope and specifications of the website.
A simple website would be less effect to build and support, an example of this might be a website which only has 2 to 3 pages with little or no changing content and is fit for purpose for many years only needing to change basic information every now and then like change of business address, operating hours for special holidays some examples may include:
- Trades websites (Plumber, Election, Traffic Control, Locksmith)
- Florists
- Hairdressers
Some more complex websites will have more moving parts which may require more time to build and maintenance an example might include:
- Online Stores – New products, up selling related products, blogs, credit card payments
- Websites with over 10+ pages having dynamic content, pop up alerts with custom coding required to meet requirements
- Memberships and Subscription based access and benefits, often requires new content, growing user base means more storage usage and demand of new features and benefits

What is your payment policy
If you do wish to proceed using our services for website design, a 50% deposit is required to lock in resources and start work.
The remaining 50% deposit is required to be paid on job completion.
Website hosting and support must be paid up front as per the pricing advertised less and discounts available.
Do I need to use Alcosoft web hosting services?
It is not required to use Alcosoft hosting services, however we strongly recommend it to take full advanced of our managed services benefits or to ensure you can retain active premium licensing including with either hosting or support package with Alcosoft.
Support and maintenance may also be affected if your hosting provider does not offer the same levels of website features, database backups and security that is included in the standard packages that Alcosoft plans include.
Will I have access to cPanel
We offer two options for WordPress hosting:
- WordPress Hosting – We will provide you with access to WordPress as Administrator, FTP for file management and MySQL access if you would like to have administration access
- cPanel – Administrator access
The cPanel environment may be more suitable for hosting multiple websites should this suit your requirements, however does add administrative overhead and comes at an added cost for storage, licensing and maintenance.
Premium WordPress licensing for plugins and themes
Alcosoft provides different types of premium licenses depending on the website needs, and they are included as long as you have an active support agreement or hosting with Alcosoft.
However, if you need or request any extra premium plugins or themes for your website, you will have to buy and renew them yourself.
If you choose to stop working with Alcosoft, you may need to purchase some of the premium licenses separately if you want to keep getting software updates and security patches.
